Discover the Ultimate Backcountry Experience in BC

If you’re looking for deep powder, untouched lines, and an adventure far from the crowds, cat skiing might just be your next obsession. But what is cat skiing, exactly? It’s a form of snowcat skiing where you’re transported in a heated snowcat to remote, snow-covered terrain no chairlifts or helicopters, just pure backcountry bliss. And when it comes to the best cat skiing in BC, the Selkirk Mountains deliver in spades.

A Tree Skier’s Paradise

At our private tenure in the Goat Range of BC’s Selkirks, we offer something different from typical resort skiing. While many of our runs begin above treeline (perfect for bluebird cruising), it’s the steep skiing, tight chutes, playful drops, and deep tree lines that set us apart. This is true powder skiing in BC floating through light, dry Kootenay Coldsmoke on natural pillows and features you can make your own.

For those who love riding in the trees, our terrain is a dream come true. If you're coming from places like Golden cat skiing zones or planning a cat skiing Fernie trip, you'll find our terrain just as thrilling if not more private and powder-rich.

Deep Snow. Private Mountain. No Crowds.

Our cat skiing Canada zone faces northeast, keeping it sheltered from sun and wind. That means consistently deep, dry snow all season long. We operate during the heart of winter—from mid-December through early April right when the powder is deepest and the conditions are prime.

Unlike other operations that run multiple cats, we send out just one at a time. Your group gets exclusive access to the entire mountain. And if anything goes sideways, we’ve got a backup cat ready to go. No waiting. No compromises.

Comfort Between Runs

Part of what makes the snowcat skiing experience so special is the ride back up. Our heated cats feature comfy seats, Bluetooth speakers, and ample storage so you can snack, chill, and get stoked for your next line. Most days, guests enjoy six to nine runs, clocking in around 5,000 vertical metres (or 16,500 feet). That’s a full day of pow without the crowds or the lift lines.

All-Inclusive Adventure

We offer three- and four-day cat skiing packages that cover everything: guiding, backcountry safety, a cozy timber-frame lodge, chef-prepared meals, après ski, snacks, and good vibes. It’s a full immersion into the mountain lifestyle, designed to let you focus on what matters skiing deep powder with your crew.

Whether you're dropping pillows, threading tight trees, or tackling high-angle lines, this is the kind of steep skiing that keeps skiers coming back. For the best of powder skiing BC has to offer, our Selkirk sanctuary is waiting.

So if you're considering a cat skiing Fernie, Golden, or anywhere else in cat skiing Canada, take a detour. Ride the deep with us and discover why real skiers ditch the lift line and never look back.
